Stress Management
The first step to reducing your stress is knowing why you get stressed. First write a list of all the situations that cause you stress.
Then learn to relax, stop watching and reading the news, and do something that makes you happy. This will reduce the stress and tension, calm your heart rate and help your immune system. Take deep breaths to calm down and stay away from caffeine.
Eat a healthy diet. Fruit and vegetables will lower your stress level, and stay away from drive-through fast food. Highly stressed people tend to gain extra weight and they often have a hard time losing it. Sitting and eating comfort food in front of the television will not lower your stress level, even if it gives you a feeling that it does in that moment.
Watch or read a comedy to (LOL) laugh out loud. Life is too short, so enjoy a good laugh.
Get out in the fresh air at lunchtime at work or when you are at home, and stay active with walking, playing a sport, dancing or whatever you enjoy doing. Do not put it off until tomorrow! Research has established that exercise is great for relieving stress. Exercise gives you renewed energy and a better outlook on life.
Be around people you enjoy and who share the same interests. Do not gossip, try to look at life possibilities, stay away from people who bring you down or are negative, keep a positive outlook and follow your heart with more passion for life.
Get organized and set priorities. Do not put things off or overdo--just find a balance that works for you.
Listen to music that makes you happy and gets you moving. Or choose music that is relaxing, but avoid those sad songs.
