We are dedicated to providing you with stories about health and fitness that affect lives in a positive way. You will hear from people who have overcome issues that may be impacting you or someone you know.
These are tough times. Many of us are working harder than ever to keep our jobs or to find work in these challenging economic times. Stress is now affecting more people than ever, and stress can lead to illness. There are many ways to deal with stress and to empower ourselves. Our goal is to make you aware that you are not alone and that many San Diegans and Americans are facing the same issues. Together we can overcome and change our world for the better. We have to believe in ourselves, our future, and the human race.
In the darkest of times throughout history, we have risen out into the light more aware of ourselves and each other, as individuals, families, friends, San Diegans, Americans and the world.
We will prevail as long as we believe in ourselves and each other.
Muhammad Ali
Humanitarian
Boxing great Muhammad Ali received the President's Award at '40th NAACP Image Awards' for his lifetime of public service and humanitarian efforts. His wife Yolanda Ali made an emotional and touching speech on behalf of her husband in which she talked about the importance of volunteering even in hard times. San Diego Health and Fitness is dedicated to provide information on volunteering in our community. You can set a goal to get fit by walking or running for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure for breast cancer or other fantastic organizations we have listed on our web site. Volunteering will lift your spirits and it is a wonderful way to meet new friends.
